All the Children are Children We are a nonprofit 501c3 organization which funds the ALL CHILDREN ARE CHILDREN ORPHANAGE IN HAITI, located in Guyotin-Coco, Haiti which was founded by Mr. Philocles Desir in 2002 out of a critical need to provide basic education, clothing and food to children in one of the poorest rural communities in Haiti.

Currently, 300 students attend school in a one room building with 12 benches that can only accommodate 30 students. The remaining students hold classes outside underneath trees, if weather permits.

More children would like to attend but, space and school funds are limited. Presently, a staff of 5 teachers and a principal maintain the school. The classroom ratio is about 60 students per teacher. Students are taught without basic supplies such as textbook, pencils and paper at times.

The school and the village have no running water, electricity, transportation or even health care. To get water requires a walk several miles to the mountain and back. It is not unusual to see children 3 or 4 carrying water of buckets on their heads. http://www.atcac.net/

Education Through Music Education Through Music was founded to promote the integration of music into the curricula of disadvantaged schools in order to enhance students' academic performance and general development. At ETM, we believe that every child deserves a well-rounded education: one that includes music. Unfortunately, many schools, especially those serving children in low-income communities, provide no music instruction or rely solely on short-term programs that do not serve every student. ETM created a comprehensive program that incorporates music into the education of every child, including those with special needs. ETM forms long-term partnerships with inner-city elementary schools that lack the resources to develop school-wide music programs. We ensure high-quality instruction by hiring qualified teaching artists, providing ongoing training, and performing regular program assessments. We encourage academic teachers and teaching artists to collaborate so that music can reinforce learning and development in all areas. And we help schools embrace music as a core subject by involving all members of the school community. Our program has succeeded from the start: ETM's first partner school won a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award from the U.S. Department of Education. ETM has since gone on to receive numerous awards and recognitions. A further measure of our success is our growing national presence. In addition to maintaining partnerships with New York City schools, ETM provides advisory services to organizations and schools around the United States, including affiliate organizations in Los Angeles and San Francisco http://www.etmonline.org/

REACH a Child!
In 2007, Children's Book Author, Paul Gilbertson, and his wife, Chris, wanted to find a way to help children who are unfortunate victims of crises.  When the little town of Gays Mills, Wisconsin was flooded that same year, Paul jumped at the chance to try and improve the situation for all the children who were affected by the disaster.  Paul and his daughter packed up the car with boxes of children's' books and started their journey.  A few hours later, the two arrived at the scene only to be greeted by yellow police tape, first responders and emergency vehicles.  Although this first attempt to "Bring a smile to the face of a child in the time of need" was not successful, it was just the beginning.  On the drive home that day, Paul realized in order to REACH a Child at the time of crisis, he needed to team up with the people who arrive at the unfortunate crisis first.
Out of this experience the R.E.A.C.H. a Child "B.A.C.K. Packets" program was born, this initiative centers around providing approximately 10-12 various children's books to officers and first responders in a red backpack for them to give to children that they see at the scene of an accident, fire, domestic disturbance or in other traumatic situations.
Currently these red backpacks are in over 15,000 squad cars and ambulances throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska and California.  Within our first two years we have donated over 175,000 Children's books to children in crisis situations with the help of these First Responders, Police, Sheriff and State Patrol officers!  Likewise, we have a waiting list of over 2,000 squad cars and EMS ambulances in over 15 states wanting to get involved in this "B.A.C.K. Packets" program!
We urgently need your assistance, both financially and through your time and talents, to help us expand this program throughout the country. http://www.reachachild.org/

Sports for a Cause Sports for a Cause is a Denver, Colorado based 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization created by Brandon Tosti.  Tosti resides in Denver, Colorado, and has been employed in the sports industry for over seven years.  The project was inspired by an article that Tosti read in an August 2007 issue of Sports Illustrated.  The graphic pictures provided a shocking reality of the state of New Orleans schools and youth athletic facilities nearly 2 ½ years after the storm.  Knowing that many people wanted to help but didn’t know how or where to start, Tosti realized that the sports industry provided the perfect mix of knowledge, experience and networks necessary to successfully execute a project of this magnitude. The program’s purpose is to provide athletic opportunities for youth, which currently do not exist in certain neighborhoods.  Some playgrounds are still condemned and some schools will have to be demolished.  Shortly thereafter, he called the Recovery School District, Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation to start the research and fact finding process that led to the establishment of the organization, Sports for a Cause. http://www.sportsforacause.org/
